Little Rock Men’s Golf Supporters,

My name is Austin Eoff and I am the “new” head men’s golf coach for the Little Rock Trojans men’s golf team. It has been a whirlwind of a year having been hired after the school year started and my first day on the job being the Shamble at Pleasant Valley Country Club last fall. Our season is now almost completed for this school year and I wanted to update everyone on a few items moving forward:

Alumni & Donor Engagement

I am a firm believer in “it takes a village” when it comes to the success of an athletic program and we are very fortunate to have such a strong golf community and support system here at Little Rock. Each school I have been at (Rutgers, Purdue, and Central Arkansas) alumni and donor engagement has been a top priority for me. Whether it has been building a database, starting a golf outing, keeping supporters updated and engaged, or enjoying a round of golf or lunch, I believe this group of individuals is vital to the success of our program. While I have met some of you at the Shamble last fall or around town this school year there are many I have not and I look forward to getting a chance to engage with you all this summer. Little Rock Men’s Golf Newsletter

One new form of engagement I will be starting is the Little Rock Men’s Golf Newsletter. I will be sending out updates every 2-8 weeks, so nothing that will keep your inbox too cluttered but it will be an easy and convenient way for me to update everyone on the team. These updates will include: performance updates, Shamble information, schedule and roster announcements, and other new golf team initiatives I look to introduce to give you the ability to connect with our team!

Ohio Valley Conference Championship Recap

This past week we competed in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship in Muscle Shoals, Alabama at the Robert Trent Jones Fighting Joe Course. Archie Smith led the team by earning medalist honors in the stroke play portion of the championship and we entered the match play portion for the championship as the #1 seed. Unfortunately we fell in the semifinals to SIUE with a score of 2 to 3 to finish in 3rd place as a team.

Archie Smith will represent our team at NCAA Regionals on May 13th-15th. We will find out his regional selection on May 1st at 1:00pm on the Golf Channel.
