11th Annual Golf Shamble & Season Preview

Hello Trojans!

We are BACK in full swing as our team has arrived back to campus! Last week, as many of you know, we held the 11th Annual Little Rock Golf Shamble at Pleasant Valley Country Club. We had a fantastic day with over 40 teams once again as we honored former men’s assistant Bucky Magness for his many years of service to the men’s golf program. The day was a great success helping us raise the most money we have ever raised in the history of the event and will allow us to make a few structural improvements to our building at Eagle Hill to give our players a proper environment to practice in. If anyone would like me to email them their team photo from the event please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and I will send that over to you!

Austin Eoff (Head Coach) - Bucky Magness (Honoree) - Frank Cuervo (Athletic Director)

We would like to say a major thank you once again to Tito’s Handmade Vodka and to each of our Trojan Champions listed below!

2025-26 Season Schedule & Preview

I am excited to get this season going and I know the guys are hungry to pick up where we left off last year and take a step further this season. We have three players returning from last season (Rhett South, Ed Featherstone, and Alex Rowland), two transfers (Mark Stockdale and Elliott Simonsen), and one freshman (Viggo Talasmaki).

Mark joins the team after spending last season with the Razorbacks. He was the best performing Razorback at NCAA Regionals in May finishing T6th and also finished in 3rd place at the prestigious St. Andrews Links Trophy this summer.

Elliott will be transferring in from UT-Chattanooga and is coming in after a red hot summer. He finished in 2nd at the German International Amateur, 5th in the Austrian International Amateur, 9th in the Danish International Amateur, and 9th in the Alps Tour Biarritz Cup where he was also low amateur.

Viggo Talasmaki will be joining us as a freshman from Finland where he is also apart of the Finnish National Team. He finished in 10th at the Brabazon Trophy in May which is one of the biggest events in the U.K. He also placed 4th in the Finnish Amateur. In 2024 he finished 11th in the Dutch Amateur and 16th in the Brabazon Trophy.

Our fall schedule turned out amazing and this is the best full season schedule in the history of the program. We will be playing against the best teams in the country week in and week out.
